Please have a look at our Global Goals, Local Classrooms programme.  Our next seminar will look at Global Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth.

Angela Oakley from the Scottish Fair Trade Forum will take us on a journey through cotton production past, present and future. Using Global Goal 8: decent work and economic growth, this seminar will explore how fair trade can support a better and fairer future for those working in the cotton industry. There will also be an opportunity to view resources and discuss ideas for taking this topic further in the classroom.

Sustainable Development Goals

In September 2015 World Leaders committed to the Global Goals for Sustainable Development. 17 goals to achieve 3 extraordinary things in the next 15 years. End extreme poverty. Fight inequality and injustice. Fix climate change.

The Global Goals can provide a great framework for drawing together all the many initiatives in schools like Learning for Sustainability, Eco schools, Children’s Rights, Fair Trade and more. Visit the Global Goals website for more information and details about the World’s Largest Lesson.
