Global Learning Programme Scotland

This programme supports professional learning to develop Global Citizenship in your school and integrate it into your classroom practice.

What is on offer?

Professional learning courses in Global Citizenship, Learning for Sustainability and Rights-based learning. They consist of 3 twilight session and all include an opportunities for professional reflection and sharing good practice with colleagues. We can also provide bespoke courses for school clusters.

The courses are all fully funded. 

What is my commitment?

We would like you to attend all 3 sessions and to try out some activities or ideas before attending the final session.

We will also ask you to complete a teacher questionnaire on your understanding of Global Citizenship and a school audit on how Global Citizenship is currently being delivered in your school. Both documents are designed to support and help schools and teachers on their journey to developing good practice in global learning.

You can register for any of our courses currently being offered. Or you can contact us directly to discuss what we could deliver for your school or local authority.

Who is delivering the programme?

Scotdec, is one of the 6 Global Learning Centres in Scotland who are recognised as national providers of professional development for the Global Learning Programme - Scotland. The programme is also being delivered in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
The programme is funded through the Department for International Development.
