Scotdec partner project Inscool to feature in the European Toolkit for Schools

Now that the European Inscool project has come to an end, we are proud to share the work of ourselves and our partners undertook throughout the project to facilitate and empower Rights-based learning in classrooms across Europe.

The outcomes of the Rights-based InScool- Inclusive Schools project have now been published on School Education Gateway website as part of the European Toolkit for Schools.

The European Toolkit for Schools offers concrete ideas for improving collaboration within, between and beyond schools with a view to enabling all children and young people to succeed in school. School leaders, teachers, parents and other people involved in different aspects of school life can find helpful information, examples of measures and resource material to inspire their efforts in providing effective and high-quality early childhood and school education. The aim of the Toolkit is to support the exchange and experience among school practitioners and policy makers.

The InScool methodology is designed to flexibly guide schools through the start of a journey towards inclusion, improving personal and academic outcomes for all children and young people by focusing on their access to – and participation in – quality, relevant education.

The EU-funded InScool project started in 2019 with the goal to set up an Inclusive Schools action plan and empower schools across Europe to adopt inclusion practices. It aimed to integrate young people with diverse backgrounds into the heart of their community, helping them to develop a strong sense of self and togetherness. Working together with school leaders, teachers, advisors, psychologists, parents and policymakers, the project created a ripple effect across the whole school community and supported the creation of an action plan to deliver inclusion strategies to European schools.
