Scotdec are delighted to be involved in the Scotland Malawi Partnership’s first School Partnership Awards!
Our Global Education Advisor Silvia will be there running a session for young people around the Sustainable Development Goals and school partnerships.
Supported by the Year of Young People National Lottery fund and the David Livingstone Birthplace Project, the awards aim to celebrate the variety of school partnerships with Malawi across Scotland.
William Kamkwamba – innovator, entrepreneur and inspiration for Netflix hit ‘The Boy Who Harnessed The Wind’ – will be there o hand out the awards.
Focusing on the theme of sustainability, SMP’s Youth Committee judges will be looking for schools to tell the story of their partnership – where it has come from and where it is going. You can be as creative as you like! It could be a storybook, a picture board, or even a video, it’s up to you as long as it’s based around the theme of sustainability. The SMP encourage you to think about using the Partnership Principles as a way of reflecting on your partnership.
