We’re pleased to share a new First Level anti‑racist resource on antiracisted.scot, built using the Global Storylines approach.
A Story About Welcoming and Belonging helps children explore identity, diversity and what it means to feel part of a community. Told through short episodes, the storyline supports learners to build empathy, understand and celebrate differences, and reflect on how we welcome new people into our spaces.
Created with input from staff and children across nine primary schools – with special thanks to Oakgrove Primary for their original “Luna” storyline – the resource is designed to strengthen anti‑racist practice through creative, child‑led learning linked to Health & Wellbeing outcomes.
Part of our ongoing work through the Scottish Government’s AREP programme, the new storyline offers teachers an accessible way to embed anti‑racist learning in the primary classroom.
