Connecting Classrooms through Global Learning

Connecting Classrooms through Global Learning was a programme that supported schools across the globe to collaborate on and learn about the big issues that shape our world.

Connecting Classrooms through Global Learning was a partnership between the British Council and the Department for International Development. Scotdec was part of a consortium with Learning for Sustainability Scotland, the former IDEAS network and the Scotland Malawi Partnership, responsible for delivering the project across Scotland.

Connecting Classrooms upskilled teachers and students with the confidence, skills, knowledge, values and attitudes they need to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world – and create positive change as part of a whole-setting approach to Learning for Sustainability.

There are a host of learning opportunities and support on offer through the Connecting Classrooms programme. Whether you are part of a cluster of schools, an individual school – or interested in personal development opportunities, you can tailor your journey to suit your needs and priorities thanks to the programme’s flexible range of elements.
